The Quilt For an Irish Baby, made for Sam and Denise's first child, Mary, in 1997.  The pattern is Double Irish Chain.  I traced the quilting design from a picture in a jewelry catalog.  This quilt won first place and a special ribbon at the Durham Fair (Mary was born only a few days after the fair)!
